Okay, hear me out, because I really think this is the moment to trust yourself. A 20 song tracklist actually works in your favor right now. You don’t need to cram everything into a shorter album or rush these collaborations. This project should stay very Megan led, like no matter who’s on the song, it should always sound like a full Megan record first. You’re the anchor here. Eleven solo songs and nine features is a perfect balance, especially when each feature has a real purpose and isn’t just there for names. The feature list is strong Doechii, Monaleo, Cardi, Kehlani, Beyoncé, SZA, Ariana, Doja, Kendrick, even a K pop moment but the key is placement. No back to back features, nobody opening or closing the album but you. Even when you decide to combine features, it should feel intentional and musical, not like a spectacle. Pairings like Ariana and Doja, Beyoncé and Kendrick, Kendrick and Doechii, or SZA and Kendrick only work if the song is built around you and the beat, with that interlocking, conversational flow instead of everybody trying to rap or sing the longest.
