💌 woonhak’s 3rd anniversary letter for onedoor
hello onedoor!
it's woonhak!! please congratulate me,
today marks 3 years since i became a singer. make some noise!!!
what do you think? do you think i have grown a lot? since i was at an age where you grow quickly physically, i might seem pretty different from my first impression now. and internally too, after experiencing many things and growing in my own way, i probably feel different from even just last year, right?
i think i used to be scared of growing up and afraid of gaining more years in my career, but the more activities i do, the more i realize how brilliant the youth being displayed in my memories is, the memories with the hyungs and the records we are building together with all of you. so now, rather than feeling sad about time passing, i think i look forward to the future even more.
what kind of memories will we make this year? what kind of person will i be one year from now? i have those vague but exciting expectations now. every time i look back on the path i'm have walked, it gives me even more passion to keep running forward. and the more time i spend with onedoor, the more i genuinely feel all those moments becoming happier and happier. i think that's why.
just thinking about getting on stage more in the future makes my heart boil up with excitement too. recently, you have probably been bored waiting for us, right? but since you waited such a long time, we absolutely wont disappoint you.
since this is a home we built together with all of you, it's an album we can proudly show anywhere without shame. i truly think of it as a home made together with you all, so we are going to grit our teeth and show it to the world properly. and without letting it get even a single scratch, i want to preserve it exactly as it is inside our memories so it can remain as a brilliant moment forever.
oh... writing this letter makes me realize again, but i think being an idol is such a wonderful thing.
i want to do this forever!!

and not just as a singer and fan, but genuinely as person to person. I think it's not an easy thing to become someone who gives another person good memories. so thank you for always giving me only warm and good feelings, whether we are together or apart. i love you so much too.

Hello ONEDOOR. It's already been 3 years since we've been together ㅜㅜ
Before debuting, I worried a lot about whether I would able to receive this much love, but now I'm happy that those worries now feel greedy. The fact that six of us can stand, express our emotions, and singing songs on stage can be something worthy of envy and admire to someone, so we'll keep working hard and running ahead.
I hope you'll continue to walk with us for a lifetime as we continues on the path we're running toward, and we can become each other's driving force. Even when you find your life exhausting, I hope our music can give you strength.

To. my love, my people, onedoor.
i think i’ve come to realise that simply sharing memories with someone is already one of the greatest happiness in life. because of you, who rejoice my happiness more than anyone else and notice my sadness even before i do, i’m always able to stay strong. while living through this world, sometimes it can feel so cold and painful. when that happens, come find me. i’ll always be a place you can lean on and rest at.
they say that when babies turn 3 years old, they start talking a lot more (though it might differ for everyoneㅎㅎ). now, i’ll show onedoor all the words i’ve held back all this time, and all the love i couldn’t bring myself to say out loud.
thank you for raising me!! ㅎㅎ no matter where we are for the next 397 years, even if there comes a time when something more important than me appears in your life for a while, i believe the memories we’ve built together will never fade.

it’s already been 3 years that we’ve been together. if you look at it as a number, it might not seem long, but if you recall each and every moment, it’s really a time filled with so many moments stacked together. thanks to those times, i think i’ve become a little more honest than i used to be, and i've become less awkward at expressing love.
at first, even standing in front of you was shy and unfamiliar, but now the moment i face onedoor is something i look forward to. i want to do better, and my heart has grown to want to convey more and more.
from now on, i'll become someone who isn’t just receiving love, but someone who can give even more back. i'm still putting in effort in many ways, but i’ll become a man who is more consistent and knows how to give love hehe.

If you look at it just as a number, it might not seem long, but when I look back at it one by one, it’s a time build up of truly so many moments. Thanks to those times, I think the "me" of today has become a bit more honest than before, and less clumsy at expressing love.
At first, even just standing in front of you felt embarrassing and unfamiliar, but now, I look forward to the moments I face ONEDOOR, and my desire to do better and convey my feelings more has grown. "to. onedoor ♡
it feels like just yesterday when i wrote the letter for our second anniversary, but it's already our third one, onedoor..! i still vividly remember us back then, calling you 'everyone' because we didn't have a fandom name yet, and the sight of you holding the white cheering sticks with only 'BOYNEXTDOOR' engraved on it instead of our onedoorstick, cheering for us louder than anyone else.
at that time, just spotting those white cheering sticks among all lightsticks made me happy, but before i knew it, we started our first tour in venues filled entirely with onedoor and onedoorstick, and now we’re about to release our first full album which all feels surreal.
the amount of time each onedoor has spent with us may be different, but to me, the fact that you are a 'onedoor' is already enough. to some, it may have felt like it's just a short time, but over the course of these three years, all of you have already become a deep part of my life. we still have a long way to go before reaching the place we dream of, but in that dream, onedoor are always together with us. please continue please continue to love and support us a lot in the future too, just like how you're doing now ♡
we're releasing our full album soon! i think this album will become the most precious album for all six of us. i hope our messages will be conveyed well to onedoor. thank you so much for allowing boynextdoor to celebrate our third anniversary. i love you a lot, onedoor ♡
