Kapag may social issues, nagiging intertwined siya sa fandom conversations, kasi tayo, as part of the community, we also see idols/artists as public figures affected by society rin.
May factor din na fandom spaces ngayon are no longer just “escape spaces.” Para sa maraming tao, stan twt became our support systems, identity spaces, organizing communities, activism spaces, cultural spaces.
So naturally, people discuss bigger societal issues here too. Bago kayo naging Bloom, Filipino kayo. Bago pa maging BINI ang BINI, Filipino sila. So we really can’t avoid political discourse.

Hi Blooms, just a simple POV why everything is political kahit tayo as a community. Kasi in a way, communities reflect real life rin talaga. Kahit fandom spaces or stan twt pa yan. People bring their beliefs, values, experiences, frustrations, and social awareness into the spaces they participate in. So minsan kahit music, concerts, idols, or fan projects ang main topic, naturally napapasok pa rin yung politics, social issues, at societal opinions.
Sa stan twt specifically, amplified siya because:
🌸 mabilis ang information flow
🌸 highly online ang culture
🌸 call-out/call-in culture is common
🌸 fandoms organize like actual communities
