Meet the software team!🥳 The goal of the software team this year is to implement the autonomous flight on our drone, more specifically to make the drone navigate itself from one position to another in a complex environment.

The new regulations are announced in the Netherlands with the new tightening of the corona measures. We hope everyone stays healthy and safe!😷

We have our general meeting every week to catch up with all the sub-teams about what they had done that week!✅

We as Blue Jay, value multidisciplinary workspace because we believe that working with people from various study programs helps us to look from different perspectives!👀 All our members are from 12 different study programs!🤩

We are using the 3D printer to make the prototype of our drone's landing gear!⚙️🤩

The interaction design team is working on their gesture control project!🗣The goal of the gesture control project is to be able to control the drone with some basic gestures. You can see that the input of the camera is recognized as pointing left, which is correct!

In the software team, we use ROS (Robotic Operating System) to integrate all the software of autonomous flight🚀.Few days ago, a test was successfully done on our drone using a simple code which makes it take off, draw circles and land.
