Imagine making the lowest wage you can legally earn - and claiming it’s not enough to support a family. I had roommates until I made enough money to live on my own. -8 guys in a 4 bedroom apartment 🤢(shit town) -8 guys + a landlord in a farmhouse 🤢🤢(same town) -eventually had 4 in a duplex (same town) -eventually had 3 in a OLD ASS house (slightly better town) -then I BOUGHT an even OLDER (shittier) house in “the cheap part of town” 😬 Fast forward to today - people say “I’m lucky” I was able to afford a cheap house so “easily”. I continuously raised my income all my life. I always lived within my means. I have ZERO debt. I’m not paycheck to paycheck. I drive an old POS to work and back - no payments. Cheap insurance. It may be uncomfortable- but that’s life. You do what you need to do. I know it’s easier to just go into debt like everyone else. It’s not a wise backup plan. Dont follow the heard.

MINIMUM WAGE SHOULD COVER RENT, FOOD, HEALTHCARE, AND TRANSPORTATION. IF IT DOESN’T, IT’S NOT A LIVING WAGE.
