“i don’t remember what happened, i—” elodie started to speak but was cut off by her own sobs. eventually, she tried again, “i was just walking and then something hit me and i woke up in the water, i don’t— everything hurts.” she mumbled, still clinging to reagan.

reagan was close to bursting into tears herself, quickly making her way towards elodie so she wouldn’t have to walk too far. “don’t apologise, i know you were. the weather is so bad, i should have been more firm on coming to get you.” she reassured as she held her tightly.

as soon as she spotted reagan, elodie burst into tears and tried to make her way over to meet her in the middle as fast as she possibly could, “i-i’m sorry, i promise i was coming home.” she said, sniffling quietly before quickly wrapping her arms around the woman.
