We are writing to address the recent wave of disqualifications involving professional players. To be clear, these issues are related to an experimental app and have no connection to the main Dropping Calculator website. The application was built on the premise that it only included information already available to the player. To ensure compliance with game security standards, we utilized the Overwolf API. This is a platform that is known for its whitelisted overlay and compliance with Easy Anti-Cheat and Epic Games’ policies. The application was meant to be an accessibility tool to help users manage their in-game state (such as bus path, inventory, zone damage, player counts, and location). The app also included an experimental "bus importer" designed to make inputting buses easier. At no point did the app directly inject code into the game process or use macros. We acknowledge that our implementation was flagged by internal security features, despite our commitment to stay within the rules of the Overwolf framework and Fortnite competitive rules. We have permanently shut down the test application and terminated all associated development. We are currently providing any necessary information to Epic Games to show that this was a well-intentioned project. We deeply regret the distress this has caused the professional players affected, and we are committed to ensuring our future work is to the highest standards of competitive integrity.
