@bluymin not to mention ALL OF THESE (and more)! designs made by students attending the aforementioned art academy. it feels like such a huge slap on the face, even if these designs will never be implemented, it’s distasteful on netease’s part.

wu chang's verdant realms unfurled skin is a tribute to a masterpiece, blushing scholars was a collaboration with an art academy. not to mention the COA9 itself, a van gogh themed essence, and all the characters whose stories are tied to human creations. its just plain hypocrisy

as someone who got into identity v solely for their original works, it's frustrating to see them laying off their employees in favour of utilizing ai to generate slop for convenience. it's a rather stupid move to pull too, considering how art as been their selling point for years
