And the Pentagon is weighing sending 10,000 more troops to the Iran war, likely including infantry and armored vehicles, to be added to the roughly 5,000 Marines and the thousands of paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division who have already been ordered to the region.  Meanwhile, per the Wall Street Journal, battle damage and replacement of losses over the first three weeks of the war likely cost roughly $1.4 billion to $2.9 billion.   And what a disaster!  The Strait of Hormuz is still closed, and Qatar produces 30 to 33 percent of global helium as a byproduct of LNG processing at Ras Laffan, home to the largest helium production facilities on Earth.  Helium has stopped flowing with it.  It can’t be substituted, it can’t be replaced, it evaporates so it can’t be stockpiled.  MRI machines, semiconductor fabs, and the global aerospace supply chain will all suffer from reduced supply.
