@goodreads Just finished “The Bright Years” by @SarahDamoff, which I can’t recommend enough! Incredible debut!! Now reading “Maybe In Another Life” to complete my TJR backlist before her new book comes out.

It's Friday! What are you reading this weekend?

@goodreads The Song of Achilles. It was the book that led me to the realization that I actually really enjoy Greek mythology. At the time, I did NOT think it would become a top 5 favorite of mine, so much so that I ended up with a tattoo for it.

Tell us about a book that exceeded your expectations!

@TheChauffeurX @goodreads Agreed! I stayed up until midnight finishing it, and couldn’t fall asleep until after 1:30 bc I couldn’t stop thinking about it and crying- I even woke my husband up and told him about it 😭😂 I got a pit in my stomach for days afterwards when I thought about it ❤️‍🩹

@goodreads Lonesome Dove. I know it’s a well-loved “classic”, so I had high hopes, but wasn’t sure because I don’t consider myself much of a western girl. Ended up buying the rest of the series too.

So, without telling anyone, Dave Grohl brought his giant smoker and cooked/fed barbecue and sides for 500 folks at Hope Mission in L.A. during the storms. Paid for it all. Worked 16 hours. So, when the aliens get here and ask “who’s in charge?”, I think we take them to Dave Grohl.
