For over 30 years, the Lockheed F-104D-15-LO Starfighter Jet Monument at George Izay Park, a donation from the U.S. Air Force, has stood as a tribute to Burbank's aviation history ✈ Now, it's time for a refresh! 📅 From March 20th through June 2025, restoration work will begin to preserve its legacy for future generations. 🚧 The grass area surrounding the monument will be temporarily fenced off for safety, but sidewalks and surrounding park space will remain open to the public. And just a reminder that there are anti airport activist groups out there that are currently trying to shut down this airport and its fire fighting capabilities. They receive over 3.5 million dollars from Amazon charity grants.

Right Now LA country Firehawks from Whiteman airport are grabbing water from the Hollywood reservoir to fight the Sunset fire! As a Pilot who flies from KWHP I recognize that one., I see it there all the time!
