@BaldurBarons No shop here either. Did tile first and no regrets - harder to see payback but it’s there. Looking at a shop now and it’s much easier to see the payback when you factor in dealership shop rates these days

@QuantumConX @cattleguy92 Wheat variety likely plays a bigger role in this than you think. Should look at all factors not just the “scary” ones.

There are other factors, I'm sure. I know for me, that I can't eat regular flour based products any more. The exception being European flour. Rao's pastas do not cause the horrible symptoms that American pastas create. Most European bread does not cause the symptoms either. I have to be exceptionally careful, to avoid the pain. I have a friend though, he goes into immediate anaphylactic shock. We both used to be able to eat pizza, pastas, and breads with impunity. Now it is life threatening. The question remains; What changes to the growing, processing, and production created the maelstrom of dangers when ingesting gluten products?

Here is a great explanation of this gly/wheat deal we’ve all been discussing. Or to put it bluntly, that some of us have been questioning. I’m happy to jump on Monsanto or any other big company. But , we need to understand the facts of what is going on. Thanks for putting in this effort Clay.

@grok are pre emergence applications of roundup translocated to the harvestable grain ? Do studies prove so or not

Seriously folks, we should question this. We should get actual wheat farmers to weigh in. I’m not aware of this practice as a wheat farmer myself. I’m all for health and hate on Monsanto that’s for sure! But I want it factually correct! Let’s hear from the experts. Wheat farmers
Wall Street Mav@WallStreetMav

RFK Jr: Why did "gluten allergies" go up so much in 2006? "we discovered that Roundup was a desiccant. And what that means, if you spray it on a crop, it will actually dry out the crop. And one of the big enemies of the farmer is that if there's rain around the time of harvest, their crops can get wet, and they get moldy, and then it ruins the entire silo." "What Monsanto did is they began telling farmers, spray this on the crop, on your wheat, right before harvest or at the time of harvest. And it was so popular that about 85 % of the Roundup that has been used in history has been used since 2006. A large part of that is as a desiccant. And what that meant, is for the first time they're spraying it on food right at harvest." "Not early in the season when they have a chance to wash off, but actually just before you're going to eat it. And they're spraying it for the first time on wheat because there was no such thing as Roundup Ready Wheat. They started spraying it on wheat as a desiccant. And so 2006 marks the day when suddenly these gluten allergies began exploding. The celiac disease and all these kind of wheat problems that we started seeing in this country." If you measure it back and say, when did it start? You can look and draw a red line at this 2006 and it's the year that they began spraying it on.

Worst farmer I know is a guy who never tries anything new. He knows it all already, is certain everyone else is dumb, never seeks more information.

@lmasse729 @BaldurBarons @hamiltondw2 @therealbiztang 3 projects done in the last 2 years here all with pumps. Only way it penciled for us was knowing we can grow edibles on that land now. 20” of rain last year and those acres were the best on the farm. Water runs in our ditches good though so 🤷‍♂️

Local kid has been working for us for 5 year. He started out mowing grass and now he’s chasing us out of the field on the deep tiller. He will have done 90% of first pass tillage by the time we’re done harvest.
