@bmx_ing @PetesMurithi @KE_MrBlack And what is powering that generator? The car’s battery right?? Now that is you describing a perpetual motion machine. As in battery runs tyres, tyres run generator, generator charges battery and the cycle continues. So in summary you just need to read about the fundamentals

Why can’t electric cars recharge their batteries by generating electricity from the motion of their wheels while driving?

@dr_imran17 @PetesMurithi @KE_MrBlack yes, but as i said, it will mess with the car movement, since you might have to increase speed because of issues like friction. and overal what you will get is very small amount of energy, compared to the one used to generate it

@dr_imran17 @PetesMurithi @KE_MrBlack We are not using it's own battery to charge itself , we are using a generator to convert the car's mechanical energy while moving to electrical energy which will be stored backt to the battery

@bmx_ing @PetesMurithi @KE_MrBlack If you put a system into a car to charge itself off of its own battery then that car’s battery would deplete faster than a car that doesn’t have a system to charge itself off its own battery. ie you would make the car worse by trying to make it charge itself off its own battery

@dr_imran17 @PetesMurithi @KE_MrBlack I think you dont know what perpetual motion means. As i described there, "it does not produce enough power", this statement removes the perpetual motion claim because in a perpetual motion machine , the energy should not be lost. else even if tiny, it will keep on losing energy

@dr_imran17 @PetesMurithi @KE_MrBlack it is a machine with moving parts then this is not efficient so it is better not to do it, (it is like charging your PC or phone with a low watt charger, it will charge but the discharging rate will be very high compared to charging so it's just better not to do it.

@PetesMurithi @dr_imran17 @KE_MrBlack You are just using word play, so people should not say they are charging their phones now?. Okay this is interesting, please tell me what charges the battery of a normal fuel using car

@bmx_ing @dr_imran17 @KE_MrBlack You can't charge a car. You charge the battery. Using fuel in the tank! Remove the fuel and no charging will occur. If could you would jumpstart petrol cars by just pushing them downhill (because according to you it's the alternator that charges the battery)

@dr_imran17 @PetesMurithi @KE_MrBlack Can you point out where i said perpetual motion is possible?, seems to me that you are arguing for the sake of it, how can perpetual motion exist in an inefficient system?

@bmx_ing @PetesMurithi @KE_MrBlack Dude clearly there’s no point in arguing with you because it won’t make sense to you. I suggest you just invest 15mins of your time, go to YouTube and search basic principles of physics. Then after watch a video on why perpetual motion is impossible it will help you understand

@dr_imran17 @PetesMurithi @KE_MrBlack The issue was for a running car to charge itself, and it can do so but not efficient, and concerning this matter i already said, initially it has charge

@PetesMurithi @bmx_ing @KE_MrBlack I believe it’s @bmx_ing that’s making that ridiculous suggestion of a car that charges itself off its own battery without an external power source and thereby runs forever

@bmx_ing @PetesMurithi @KE_MrBlack Ever heard of something called efficiency? Every time you convert energy from one form to another you lose some of it depending on the efficiency of the machine. And even if your car were 100% efficient you would still lose some energy to friction between the tires and the road

@bmx_ing @dr_imran17 @KE_MrBlack The simplicity is exactly the problem. You are suggesting that you can somehow use the charge in the battery to charge the battery. But you also admit that the end result will be a discharge of the battery which defeats your argument.

@PetesMurithi @dr_imran17 @KE_MrBlack How do you stop a normal car?, Did i say the car is perpetual, how is it going to be while there are different forms of energy losses?, And also the argument here is charging the car while it is moving, so it has charge initially.

@PetesMurithi @dr_imran17 @KE_MrBlack The concept is very simple, car has charge, car moves, harness the energy of the car movement, generate electricity, store the electricity, and like i told you, it does not produce enough power but possible, electric trains use this to power internal components, cars use this too

@PetesMurithi @dr_imran17 @KE_MrBlack So when an alternator of a normal car is charging the battery by taking the kinetic energy from the engine, does it stop the vehicle?, so what you mean is if someone is riding a bicycle and they start moving and they place a generator (dynamo) then the bicycle will stop?

@PetesMurithi @dr_imran17 @KE_MrBlack Initially the the battery has charge so the car should be running, and then use something like an alternator to charge the battery again , it is done in electric trains but not for running the train itself, even in normal cars for charging the batteries. Issue is it is not
