If my whole family ate sandwiches for every meal 3 times a day only our grocery bill would still be 800 dollars a month. To follow budgeting guidelines, I would need to make 64,000 dollars a year…to afford to only eat sandwiches. You can’t budget your way out of poverty.

Gen X here...
I've worked hard for 30 years to get where I am. I make good money, and I've earned it.
I can afford a $28 lunch, but choose not to spend that much most of the time because it feels frivolous.
Gen Z is on here complaining about why lunch costs $28, or why Chipotle or Jersey Mike's costs what it does. I get it, it's definitely more than it used to be.
So adjust. Get water instead of a $5 soda. Find a local place that is more reasonable. Bring in a lunch from home once in a while.
Solve the problem instead of whining and continuing to hurt yourself by spending that much money if you really shouldn't be.

I don’t know else to tell the people in Columbus that their growth isn’t because people love Columbus.
Most of the recent growth comes from international migration, including large Somali refugee and Haitian TPS communities, while net domestic migration has been negative as Americans leave for other states.
This international influx (mostly legal/humanitarian pathways) is what’s driving the numbers, not organic growth from people choosing Ohio.
Democrats really think they’re going to hang their hat on population growth, but it was all thanks to an irresponsible open door policy. It’s the same across Ohio in places like Cincinnati and Cleveland as well.
