39 years ago, we restored our democracy. Our right to vote for our President was hard-earned. It is our sacred civic duty. 🗳️ After months of work, this is the most detailed map of a Philippine election ever. Bawat barangay, buong bayan. More below ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Dalig Covered Court which recorded 13% turnout is in a more subdivision heavy area of Antipolo. There certainly was much more apathy (than usual) to the spelex in that demographic versus everyone else.

Data tidbit from the Spelex! 🗳️ Pink areas in Antipolo tended to record low voter turnout, with the pinkest polling place recording 13% turnout vs. the district-wide 33%. There's also much more variation in turnout in 2026, where in 2025 turnout was much more even.

The weakest polling place for Llaga and the Duterte Bloc was San Ysiro (San Jose), and the bloc's strongest San Antonio Village (Inarawan) was Llaga's third, and one of 3 where he was above 20%.

Did Red Llaga even get the DDS vote? While Llaga's campaign was heavily endorsed by pro-Duterte personalities, the correlation between his performance and those of Duterte-backed candidates in 2025 is weak, but some associations do exist... 🧵 Mini-thread!

Nevertheless, the rating of 47% albeit marginally down from December's 48% is still very high and certainly should be capitalized upon. The people demand cleaner politics. The question is with economic pressures being more evident, will it still hold its ground?

I think this bodes interestingly to what voters see as important in candidates, if anti-corruption sees such a large class divide, then we can expect varying degrees of success in appealing to different demographics by branding as "malinis."

One survey item I always find interesting are the urgent national concerns ratings. Pulse Asia's latest release today shows though surpassed by inflation, combatting government corruption remains a near majority (47%), still among the highest in the last 13 years...

@bnstim Thank you for this, Tim! Fascinating for me to see how the district I live in voted during this special election. I always enjoy your work.

Dok Bong Acop led in all barangays and precincts in yesterday's special election. He did best in Calawis (79.6) and had the lowest vote share in Inarawan (67.7) 🧵 First mini-thread of the Antipolo Analysis series!

Notice how Dalig Covered Court is in the top 5 of both Llaga and Tapales. It is quite different from other polling places electorally... Kitakits to the next set of threads later!

Meanwhile, Llaga posted his best performance in J. Cabarrus (San Jose), Peace Village (San Luis), San Antonio Village (Dalig), Nazarene Ville (San Roque), and Dalig Covered Court.
