Don't care. Cars/trucks should be under human control. Period. Don't give a damn about any statistics, theories or product comparisons. And, don't even try to push the whole; "It's for your safety" narrative. That's how we got TSA, civil forfeiture and whole HOST of imposed rules and regulations already. If you don't control it... You don't own it.

Waymo Gone WACKY! Josie and her sister Alex were visiting Chandler, AZ. The two Virginia residents took a Waymo cab ride for the first time. The ride began smoothly but on a highway, the car went into 50 mile an hour traffic whilst trying to make a left turn. In the video taken by Alex, you can hear the girls screaming. The car is cutting off traffic and the cars stopping as not to strike the vehicle. The vehicle then makes the turn. The car then makes the left turn and continues on the journey. The women did tell Waymo about their ride but the company could not comment on what happened. Do you think it is early in the venture to have the cars completely without a human driver? Do you think Waymo should monitor their vehicles better? What would help avoid a situation like this?

Tesla FSD gets into an accident at 1/9th the rate of humans. This technology is DEMONSTRABLY better than human drivers already. It's not even close. "Any ambiguities in the rules of the road, are for a HUMAN to sort out." An AI can already do this FAR better than you can today, and with many more sensors to see what's happening 360 degrees around the car. AI Models designed to drive cars have been trained on *BILLIONS* of miles driven. You might get to one million in your lifetime. You will never, ever, be close to as good as a fully AI based self driving car is already, in 2026. By 2030, they will be *THOUSANDS* of times safer than you. The problem in this video is that Waymo went all in on LIDAR. And that was a very bad decision.

STOP allowing technology to have ANY control over things a skilled human can do - Often FAR BETTER and safer. Cars were made and evolved over time to have HUMAN drivers. The rules of the road were made for HUMAN drivers to negotiate the road with other traffic around them. Any ambiguities in the rules of the road, are for a HUMAN to sort out. STOP IT! It's creepy, stupid and dehumanizing. 2¢

@Todd_Spence 33 years later and I remember this sketch like it was yesterday. Mike Myers didn't have a chance against Mick as Keith. Mick was comedy gold.

@RonDeSantis But I mean... ahead of Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, and literally dozens of other bands that are far, far better than U2? Can I please nominate @Rjandthewreck for third spot then?

Marijuana today is much more potent than just ten or twenty years ago, leading to increased psychosis, anti-social behavior, and fatal car crashes. Arkansans don’t want more dangerous drugs obtained more easily. A change to marijuana’s drug classification is a step in the wrong direction.

Gemini 3 Flash is an outstanding general purpose model, and it's getting very good at tool calling (they were the WORST at tool calling for the longest time). Experimenting with it as an orchestrator, and having great success with it sticking to the plan and calling tools to dispatch to other agents. It just works. And NanoBanana is outstanding. But... Opus 4.7 is years ahead of Gemini when it comes to coding. Especially with the fat new 1M token context.

@MarioNawfal Still just blindly spewing their propaganda that isn't based in any sort of reality? This is just a made up map.

🇮🇷 Iran just reminded everyone it knows exactly where the internet cables are. Tasnim News, which is essentially an IRGC mouthpiece, reported on how vulnerable undersea data cables in the Strait of Hormuz are to "accidents or deliberate action." The Houthis did this exact thing in the Red Sea. First the threats. Then the ships. Then the cables. Iran controls the world's most critical energy chokepoint. Now they're publicly signaling they also control the data chokepoint underneath it. Source: AP

🇮🇷 At least 7 major cable systems pass through the Strait of Hormuz carrying over 97% of global internet traffic. A deliberate cut would disconnect all of them. Iran is signaling it could do exactly that, threatening connectivity for: 🇦🇪 UAE 🇸🇦 Saudi 🇶🇦 Qatar 🇧🇭 Bahrain 🇰🇼 Kuwait Source: Tasnim

Hey @ClaudeDevs -- why is my desktop Claude Code sidebar ordered alphabetically now with no way to change it? It was just fine when it was ordered by most recently used. Huge regression...

@LarsensBiscuits @MarioNawfal I mean, I understand this was Iranian propaganda, but how do you just spew what they said without any disclaimer that it's obviously fake.

🇮🇷 Iran just published a detailed map of undersea internet cables running through the Strait of Hormuz, describing them as highly vulnerable. - At least 7 major undersea cables pass through the strait - Over 97% of global internet traffic for e-commerce, cloud services and communications runs through them - The report describes the strait as a "vulnerable point for the digital economy of Gulf countries" - Similar cables in the Red Sea have already been disrupted during the conflict Source: Tasnim

🇺🇸🇮🇷 What if Trump’s entire blockade is to pressure Iran to give him a cut of the toll fees they are charging at the Strait of Hormuz? Last week, he asked reporters: “What about us charging tolls?“ He said it could be a “joint venture” with Iran Under such a plan, Iran would monetize the world's most vital shipping lane as a way to compensate for the damages they faced from the war, and if Trump has his way, the U.S. would get a cut of that He just needs to convince Iran 😂
