Germany Energiewende in numbers. After more than 500 billion subsidies and 20 plus years, how does the German Energiewende work? Let’s look at some numbers. First let’s compare Germany in 2025 to itself in year 2000. Year 2000 Total electricity generation: 576-577 TWh Residential (household) electricity price: 0.14–0.16 €/kWh Industry price: 0.08 €/kWh Year 2025 Total generation: around 501 TWh, including self generation. Residential (household) price: 0.3835 €/kWh Industry price: 0.15-0.25 €/kWh So after 25 years of energy transition, there is 13% less electricity generation, while the price has more than doubled for both residential and industrial users. No wonder the German industry base is shrinking. Now let’s look at carbon emission per KWh electricity generation, after all, to reduce carbon emission is the stated goal of Energiewende. The numbers of France, Germany and EU average tells you the reality the German media normally does not report on. France: ~30 gCO₂eq/kWh Germany: ~330 gCO₂eq/kWh France's grid is about 10 times cleaner than Germany's on average. Not only that, Germans intensity is higher than the EU average (~200–220 g/kWh in recent years) due to remaining coal use, Energiewende is a total complete failure, on both economics and its stated environmental goal. Morally, from the perspective of good and evil, of victim and aggressor, it is extraordinarily important that good has not been brought to its knees. The terrible evil embodied by Putin and russia has not succeeded in bringing the Ukrainian people to their knees. Today, exactly four years later, most of russia's disinformation campaigns focus on the idea that russia is invincible and relentless in its path to victory. This is a lie. Nothing could be further from the truth. With the help of Europe, (in the first two years) the US and the Coalition of the Willing, Ukraine has resisted. The Ukrainian people have achieved this success that no one would have thought possible. They did so with the sacrifices mentioned above. And they continue to do so. A few days ago, I said that we should not expect peace in 2026, and I firmly maintain my opinion. Today, analyzing Europe's reaction (regardless of Hungary's blockade of the 90 billion aid package), Ukraine's will and courage, and the capabilities and capacities of Ukrainians and russians, I can say with conviction that, barring a betrayal that would cause us all to change our opinion of any rule of common sense that governs this world, Ukraine will withstand this year as well. russia will NOT prevail! And if Europe and the allies in the Coalition of the Willing are willing to show political will, the fate of the war—which russia so desperately wants to paint as sealed with its victory—will change in Ukraine's favor. And I really hope that happens. To repair the initial injustice of 2014 and four years ago and all the injustices and wrongs that have occurred since then. De ser tekniska ut, är fulla av tabeller och TWh - men de är byggda för propaganda, inte för att beskriva hur ett elsystem faktiskt fungerar. Låt oss reda ut vad som utelämnas. 1. Man blandar energi (TWh) med effekt (MW) Sveriges problem är inte årsproduktion. Vi har gott om energi. Problemet är effektbrist under de kallaste vintertimmarna. Elkriser uppstår inte för att vi saknar TWh över året - utan för att vi saknar garanterad effekt exakt när den behövs. Vindkraft är inte reglerbar. Den kan inte leverera på beställning. Under högtryck och kyla - exakt när topplasten inträffar - är vinden ofta låg, ibland i långa perioder. Detta är välkänt, särskilt i norra Sverige. 2. Produktionssiffrorna är överdrivna i kallt klimat Bor man i norr vet man: - Kyla innebär ofta lite vind - Isbildning reducerar produktionen kraftigt - Lågvindsperioder kan vara långvariga I praktiken producerar vindkraft mindre än kalkylerna säger, just när den behövs som mest. Havsbaserad vind står dessutom stilla betydande delar av året på grund av väder och åtkomst. 3. Livslängd: den stora elefanten i rummet Ett vindkraftverk har i praktiken 20-25 års livslängd. Ett kärnkraftverk är byggt för 60 år eller mer. Det betyder att vindkraften måste: - återinvesteras - byggas om - eller ersättas ■ 2-3 gånger under samma tidshorisont som ett kärnkraftverk. Den ”billiga” investeringen är bara första notan. 4. Systemkostnaderna räknas bort medvetet Vindkraft kräver ett helt stödsystem: ● förstärkt elnät ● balans- och effektreserver ● stödtjänster ● import eller fossil reservkraft när vinden uteblir Dessa kostnader hamnar inte i vindkraftens kalkyl, men de betalas ändå - av konsumenter och skattebetalare. 5. Man låtsas att opålitlighet inte har ett pris Ett elsystem där produktionen inte kan kontrolleras leder till: ● extrema elpriser ● industristopp ● minskad investeringstrygghet För ägaren är vindkraften beroende av stöd. För konsumenten är den ett lotteri. Ja, ny kärnkraft är dyr och långsam. Men att ersätta den med vindkraft i topplastdiskussionen är ren illusion. Vindkraft levererar TWh när vädret tillåter.
