@DonnellySports I don’t disagree, but I don’t get the reactions going on. The fact that 6 teams were looking at Trochek and he still a Ranger shows you how unrealistic the price was for a 2C. So at what price to improve 2C? A new whole in defense, our black aces and overall depth?

Now that the trade deadline has come and gone, @hannaRyates got Rod Brind'Amour's thoughts on the whole situation. It was an interesting answer from the head coach. "I know there's a lot of disappointment, I'm going to be honest. (The players) were hoping to see us make a splash. It's tough; we're one of the best teams in the league right now. Teams are making deals to try to catch us, and to try to catch the teams that are ahead of them, and that is us. On one side, it would be nice to throw your chips in and see if you could improve your team, but we love the group we have. If you're (making moves), it means you're going to be disrupting that chemistry that I think we've done pretty well here. It's behind us, and we've got to move on."

@WaltRuff @hannaRyates I drive 212 miles round trip 21 times a year(1/2 Season STM)to see the @canes go after the Cup. Today’s inactivity @ the trade deadline was very disappointing. With no FLA or NYR(seems to be the Canes kryptonite)it was time to make a big move. Thanks for the report.

Caniacs, really wish some of you would stop clowning yourselves. 2nd goal should have been stopped by Andersen. Of course, they didn't have to allow the chance, but he should have had it. Problem is, 80% of you would blame Andersen for an empty net goal and it's ponderous.
