Today we’re honoured to share a powerful story from Nicky Kaufman, skip of Team @NWTCurling and founder of Inclusive Curling, as she opens up about her recent autism and ADHD diagnosis and what it has meant for her both on and off the ice.
Through Inclusive Curling, she’s creating neuro-affirming, sensory-friendly spaces where people of all neurotypes and abilities can experience the joy of curling without barriers. From quieter environments and dimmed lighting to thoughtful support from trained instructors, this approach helps make the sport more welcoming for everyone.
At Curling Canada, we believe curling is for every kind of mind, and stories like Nicky’s help us grow the sport in ways that reflect the rich diversity and strength of our community.
Watch, share, and join the conversation about inclusion in sport.
