You know curling has reached a new level of mainstream when you walk into Starbucks and see someone reading Curling for Dummies. Also… #DreamGirl 😛

"Every Olympic and Paralympic cycle, we measure curling success in medals. The real contribution of curling, however, extends far beyond the podium." Read more from Heather Mair and Troy Glover in this article ➡️ calgaryherald.com/opinion/column… #BusinessOfCurling

Growing the game sometimes means packaging it in different ways for different audiences. Nicky’s efforts are welcoming people into curling that experience the world through heightened sensory input, unique communication styles, or different ways of learning. #InclusiveCurling
Curling Canada@CurlingCanada

Today we’re honoured to share a powerful story from Nicky Kaufman, skip of Team @NWTCurling and founder of Inclusive Curling, as she opens up about her recent autism and ADHD diagnosis and what it has meant for her both on and off the ice. Through Inclusive Curling, she’s creating neuro-affirming, sensory-friendly spaces where people of all neurotypes and abilities can experience the joy of curling without barriers. From quieter environments and dimmed lighting to thoughtful support from trained instructors, this approach helps make the sport more welcoming for everyone. At Curling Canada, we believe curling is for every kind of mind, and stories like Nicky’s help us grow the sport in ways that reflect the rich diversity and strength of our community. Watch, share, and join the conversation about inclusion in sport.

Our stories represent our love of curling. That shot you made, that person you met, that night you never did go to bed. They too could be the reason someone new discovers the power of sport. Did I mention you could win a trip for 4 to the 2027 Brier? ➡️ curlingdayincanada.ca/story

I just donated to @CurlingOntario's re-launched Sticks & Stones Project. This fund supports bursaries that help clubs develop inclusive and accessible programs, as well as equipment and user fees for youth from under-privileged households. ➡️ curlingontario.ca/sticksandstones
