Absolutely..... 1984 is unforgettable!
The use of force with such brutality on Sri Darbar Sahib in June 1984 was definitely avoidable.
But on the other hand, we need to introspect, why such a situation took place; even the then PM Smt. Indira Gandhi knowing the risks of her decision, was compelled to direct the Indian Army for this very unfortunate incident:-
1) The very demand of a separate country for Sikhs is illogical and impractical.
2) And even if the demand was there, the lifting of Arms & killing of innocent Indians, just to create terror was utterly inhuman and against the teachings of our Sikh Gurus.
3) Adding to the lifting of Arms, they didn't stop here; they made Sri Darbar Sahib & Akal Takth Sahib, our holiest shrine as their headquarters for terror activities, installing bunkers with machine guns to face any incoming force; which further reflects that they were sure that one day, either police, para military force or army would enter Sri Darbar Sahib.
4) When the Army arrived a few days before, as per 'Operation Bluestar', they issued warnings for safe surrender of everyone; instead they used the innocent civilians as their shields. When surrender efforts failed, the Army had no other choice but to move in. Indiscriminate firing from both sides harmed the innocent civilians and our holy shrine.
5) Assassination of Smt. Indira Gandhi was again a step which triggered political killings of innocent Sikhs in Delhi & many other cities. Sikh girls and women too suffered the permanent suffering of humiliation. Thousands of Sikhs were killed in this politically initiated carnage.
All this just created a small divide between Sikhs and Hindus; unfortunately that's what the enemies of our nation want. But they haven't succeeded yet hence have again initiated this demand for Khalistan from foreign lands; they instigate & misguide our youths via funds and videos. Such terror supporters are safe in foreign countries and our youths & their family suffers.
Indira made Bhindranwale,
Both finished each other.
And between their politics, thousands of innocents were killed, with Pakistan funding & supporting terror.
Lets not forget 1984, both June & November; and learn a lesson to avoid such a repetition in the future. Enough of our youths suffered in the past. With a lot of hardwork and patriotism, Sikhs have gained back the lost respect, let us not damage it again.
With social media so active nowadays, the present harm will be as good as a permanent one.
