I don't know if you are deliberately missing the point but I'll reiterate. A BRITISH NATIONAL IS DIFFERENT FROM AN ENGLISH, WELSH OR SCOTTISH INDIGENE. Rishi Sunak is a British National and not English. He only naturalised just like every other immigrant that came into the UK so it is okay for him to contest where he had lived all his life. Why is Boris Johnson not contesting as the MP for Edinburgh or Rupert Lowe contesting as the MP for Belfast? It is simple they are English and they understand the importance of tribes.
