Need recs for a good AI autocomplete for IDEs. VS Code or PhpStorm, to supplement Claude Code. Copilot is fine but slow and not too smart. Cursor Tab is top tier but 20 bucks/month for just autocomplete feels steep. Any alternatives?

@CodeWithCaen I can only imagine! Maybe adding features slowly in 2.x releases would make 3.0 less of a burden?

Yeah, the fact that I'm spending a few hours on data entry to assemble the changelog for HydePHP v2 really shows it got a bit out of hand. Don't get me wrong, it's all really good changes, but it is all so much for one release. Learning from my mistakes, and v3 will be lighter!

@CodeWithCaen I'd be happy to test v2 starting a new site.

Okay, got a few days off for the holidays, and am starting to settle in the new apartment. Let's see if we can't get a HydePHP v2 RC out there! Any willing beta testers? Please let me know! Will need help testing both new sites, and migrations from v1.

@igor_alexandrov What all must be done to get that combination going? Do you have a starter kit somewhere?

@atl_flaneur I know you moved away from your Zev searching for a trigger that did not take so much attention. Did you have a chance to try some of the aftermarket trigger upgrades such as Johnny Glocks or APEX?

Shooting other pistols is a surefire way to appreciate Glocks more. This past weekend I was racing on a couple speed shoots with a some pals, one of whom is Super Squad level, and trying to get after it with my Prodigy. It's a hell of a thing getting a grip on the pistol that lets you deactivate the grip & thumb safety then dump the mag under extreme time pressure where every hundredth of a second counts. With a Glock it's simply grab it and go! The most common mistake for me was not fully disengaging the grip safety. A complete miss on the safety means that the gun won't fire regardless of how hard you pull the trigger. I was missing just enough to make the trigger pull very heavy, resulting in shifting the gun off target before the shot broke. This isn't a knock on the 2011, just an observation that it's not "better" than a Glock. It makes some aspects of shooting easier and other thanks harder. Different tools for different jobs.

@atl_flaneur You already know this, but the Prodigy is a very baseline 2011. If you really get into 2011s, you'll aspire to the better ones with better tolerances, better machining, and better small parts. But it sure makes a great gun for experimenting.

Broke 3,000 rounds on my Prodigy today. The gun has to be shiny with oil in order to run. Once it starts drying out, which happens past 500 rounds, the slide slows down and it begins failing to eject. This is with a 10# recoil spring and 125 gr. bullets at 1050 fps. A Staccato P will go 10k rounds without this becoming an issue. I’m guessing that this is some combination of parts fit and metal finish.
