I think this is my favorite, because it was my first championship as a fan since 1978, when I was only 8. I can't even describe the feeling. And my youngest son is going to be upset reading this, but at the same time (I hope) smiling, knowing his old man got to experience this.

I am so saddened by the passing of John Sterling.
He was always encouraging, especially during my early days as the Yankees clubhouse reporter.
Over the years, he became a good friend.
I guess I thought John would live forever. And, in my heart, he will. Rest in peace, John.
