As @therealchaseeb and @0x_diablo told the @solanamobile hackathon winners — don’t rush to publish → polish UX because user experience is king. Since music is something we consume on the go and often in the background we faced a real challenge 👇 How do you 'package' prediction markets into the familiar and effortless UX of music listening? Here’s how → You just listen to the track as usual and make your prediction right there on your Seeker lock screen 📱 If you believe in the track’s potential → tap Yes. If not → tap No. That’s it. Boom. But how does it actually work? The listener deposits some amount for the upcoming month. Throughout the month they make Yes/No predictions whether a track will become a hit this month. One tap. No extra inputs. At the end of the month based on how many predictions the listener made → their deposited amount is proportionally distributed across all the track markets they participated in. Depending on how close each track got to the top and how early the listener recognized it → the money from each market’s pool is distributed among listeners. Some get more, some less. This model is Only Possible on @Solana because it requires managing zillion of micro and even nano onchain transactions while keeping a seamless one-tap UX for listeners. Our main goal was simple → onboard as many everyday music listeners as possible. To do that the experience had to go beyond traditional zero-sum prediction markets game. It had to feel fresh and perfectly aligned with how people already consume music. Music is a part of everyone’s life and we believe we can show the world what an everyday high-retention use case on the Seeker phone truly looks like.
