I don’t know who needs to hear this but…. You can care about nutrition AND -not count calories -not use MyFitnessPal -not give up your fav food -not “healthify” every recipe -not add protein to your desserts -not be perfect

Friday reminder: The times that it’s okay to comment on someone’s weight loss, weight gain or body changes is… NEVER. NEVER. NEVER. NEVER. DO NOT. JUST DON’T. EVER. Okay? Cool? Cool.

Living a life that involves: -avoiding foods I love -obsessing over foods I “can’t” eat -rigid & strict rules about food -basing my worth on what or how much I eat All in the name of chasing after some arbitrary number & unrealistic body image is not a life I want to live.

Having a positive relationship with food is NOT about: 🚫 “perfect” eating 🚫 calorie counts 🚫 lots of fruits/veggies 🚫 strict portion sizes 🚫 self-control It IS about: ✅ trusting your body ✅ enjoyment ✅ unconditional permission ✅ flexibility & confidence ✅ self-care

I hope one day you’re too busy living your life to be worried about: -counting calories -what the scale says -the size of your clothes -food 24/7 Because you deserve so much more than that.

If you’re only “counting” your movement if it involves: -dripping in sweat -being out of breath -being unable to move after -a specific amount of time -burning certain # of calories You’re harming your relationship with exercise.

What I thought healing my body image would look like: *waking up loving my body & thinking it’s perfect 24/7* What it actually looks like: *waking up & thinking about so many other things unrelated to my body*

It’s okay to eat bc you’re happy It’s okay to eat bc you’re sad It’s okay to eat bc you’re stressed It’s okay to eat bc you’re anxious It’s okay to eat bc you’re excited It’s okay to eat bc you’re upset Eating for emotional reasons can be totally normal & okay.

Diet behaviors: skipping meals, eliminating foods/food groups, weighing yourself often, rigid food rules, using exercise as punishment, hyper-fixation on calories/macros/points, increase need to control food. Eating disorder behaviors: DITTO ^^

If your “healthy lifestyle” has you: -constantly stressed & anxious about food -avoiding social situations -consumed with food/body thoughts -not being able to be present -fearing foods/food groups -using exercise as a justification for eating It’s really not all the healthy.

What does Love mean to 4-8 year old kids? A thread… A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, 'What does love mean?' The answers they got were broader, deeper, and more profound than anyone could have ever imagined!

Happy Tuesday to everyone EXCEPT… those who are making a profit by telling folks that their bodies aren’t okay as they are for summer. I hope you step in a puddle and have wet socks the rest of the day. XOXO
