’Twas the NIGHT before NITE, when all through the chain,
Validators waited - half hopeful, half insane;
Cold wallets were nested by firewalls with care,
In hopes that NITE soon would prowl into air.
Snapshot believers were snug in their beds,
While zero-knowledge visions danced in their heads;
Some guarded their UTXOs, some shielded their sight,
All dreaming of privacy landing that night.
When out on the mempool there rose such a stir,
A stealthy transaction - no trace, no blur;
To the explorers they rushed, but saw nothing in sight,
For the panther moves silent - that’s NITE’s birthright.
Then what to their wondering eyes did appear,
But NITE the Privacy Panther, sleek, sharp, and severe;
With glowing green eyes and a cloak of the night,
They knew in a moment this drop was pure NITE.
“Now shield it! Now hide it! Now batch and obfuscate!
No trackers, no leaks - your data’s first-rate!
No surveillance, no sniffers, no prying in sight,
Run free through the jungle, protected by NITE!”
He leapt through the blocks with a whisper, not roar,
Leaving proofs without paths, and trails never before;
No KYC shadows, no metadata bite,
Just freedom encoded in cryptographic might.
Its launch was transparent - yet paradoxically unseen,
No wallets exposed, no trails in between;
No insiders peeking, no backdoor delight,
Just consent and concealment - the creed of NITE.
The panther spoke softly, a low whispered decree:
“Privacy isn’t a feature - it’s dignity.
Without it, no freedom can truly ignite;
Guard the self, guard the soul - that is NITE.”
Then vanished like mist as the block clocks chimed light,
Leaving whispers, not footprints, fading from sight,
And echoed through ledgers, both hidden and bright:
“Happy Glacier to all and to all a good NIGHT!”

Now Bitcoin! Now ETH bags united! Your snapshot was taken — now you’re all invited! Come collect from the glacier, your airdrop’s in sight! Now swap away, stack away, trade through the night!” And then came the moment — the listings, the charts, The exchanges announcing their pre-launch ramp-ups; Whitelists and pairs began popping to view, Degens screamed: “Oh my god, NIGHT is becoming tradeable too!” Its supply was minted — no VCs took a cut, No insider pre-mine — not even a hut; The whole drop was public, no secretive mint, A degen’s dream bag with zero back-print. Charles spoke not a word, just kept filling the stockings With NIGHT allocations — the timelines were rocking; And laying a finger aside of his beard, Whispered: “cooperative economics are far better engineered.” He sprang to his sleigh, and flew out of sight, Yelling: “Happy Glacier to all and to all a good NIGHT!” @IOHK_Charles
