because i'm seeing people complaint here now about others posting donation links or asking for help or someone coming on armytwt to get their mind off of their daily stressful lives. let me tell you something 2020 was the start of my downfall, we had no income I was going to graduate in 2021, had my last semester remaining where we were running out of funds and my dad said go back to hometown we'll get you married cuz he couldn't pay my fee of 50k INR. my brother was studying too, was in the second or third year. my ex knew and i don't tell everyone abt my struggles or what hardships are going in my background, he told one of his senior friend abt it and her family gives out money every year to help someone in distress. She called me and said, ukw why not i help u out my dad disagreed saying no he'll arrange it? but my mom agreed and we took that. I have loved studying for since I was a kid, some might think oh obviously she's an asian. I've wanted to do MBAs from one of the top biz schools be it, any ivy leagues or london business school. i had to sit for placements because i didn't have any money for me to finance my education. i work not because I want to, but because I don't have a choice. and i still plan to do so many things to get more finance qualifications - ca, cfa or be it a post grad. I wanted to do mba and then a PhD. It's easier to say that you should not be fangirling or not post donation links when you don't have to face the worst of the worst in your actual lives. for me I don't really feel depressed, cuz I'm hyper independent and have to take care of my fam and ive found that strength. If im not able to finance my education, my thought goes oh should I post a link on armytwt, would i really get the help i need. Sadly, people privileged enough to not live a paycheck to paycheck life will never understand that and neither help others but make ridiculous comments about someone's situations. Are there scammers? Ofcourse. Does that mean you get to shame everyone who asks for help? No. Im glad they were not a coward like me, and asked for help when they need it instead of taking some wrong steps <3
