@Wizarab10 Context is everything, it is never black and white. So many things will determine the action to take including what’s needed, what’s available, who is available and what’s provided for. Even the country where it’s happening is a big factor. It is not a wife vs friend thing at all

This matter is simple. It is not about wife vs friend. It is about emergency/urgency. Even if you're in the hospital with your wife, your mind will not be settled. Nobody hears that their wife is in labour and thinks she is dying. The thought is that he is expecting a baby. If you hear your friend has been shot, (without more) it is fear of death. If you see your friend and he needs help, you'll rush him to hospital, pay bills, donate blood or whatever that is needed. On the other hand, if he is now in the hospital, you'll end up banting with him normally. "Werey, I say make I come see whether you don die. No reason am say you dey important ooo. My wife dey born, I don see you, make I go join madam." You need that assurance that he is stable for your blood pressure to come down. I domt know how it became a wife vs friend issue. You're competition with a dying person?
