Still (not) shocked that Peter Obi hasn’t reacted to a Donald Trump tweet about Nigeria.

@Omojuwa Someone who called the country he is desperate to rule a 'disgraced country'? He has trained his eyes and ears to look only for negativity, so he will never celebrate anything good coming out of Nigeria as long as he is not the president.

"I didn't mastermind the plot to remove Obasa...." Desmond Elliot. This is absolute fallacy. You were never accused of masterminding the plot, what you were accused of by the security report was your obvious involvement in it. You said you were in South Africa when it happened, let us agree but you never denied that CoS asked you to do a press conference to dissociate yourself from the plot. Did CoS tell you to do that or not? Did you do it? Were you still in SA then too? You said the President appealed to all of you that were involved and you realised that you guys "acted on wrong information", meaning you regret your action, YOUR ACTION, you inclusive. Now, if indeed you weren't involved in the plot, why were you crying openly on the TV the day Obasa returned back as Speaker???? You were part of the plot to rubbish the leadership of Lagos and this is very glaring. So, stop acting. This is not Nollywood!

PRESIDENT TINUBU CONTINUES HIS IMPRESSIVE OUTING IN KIGALI Interviewer: Fantastic. So you, let's assume that you win a second term. You will be in your most politically potent moment. Clinton did his best work in the first two years of his second term. President Obasanjo and Nigeria did a lot of his deep reforms in the first two years of his second term. What would you do in the first two years of your second term? President Bola Tinubu: Do more work. More challenges like that. The world won’t wait for anybody. You have to continue to reset and rethink. Challenge the intellectual curiosity of you as a government. The philosophy I came with in governance is believing that the hallmark of a transformative leader is the ability to do what you do at the time it ought to be done on behalf of people. If you miss that call, you are not on a path of success. And that’s what I believe. First, I took hard decisions regardless of pain. Stopped reading newspapers and commentary because I knew the big pushback will come - I was sitting on a hot burner. But we make the call. Today there’s a very bright light at the end of the tunnel. The economy is stable. Nigeria is stable. Predictable. Planners can now do reasonable budget. They can plan their lives well. The children are in school. And we have direct transfer to very poor households right now going on - able to support education for those students who stay out of school because their parents cannot afford school fees. They’re now even giving them allowances.

@Sistaliano If it's about good Governance Ibos will not choose Peter Obi, it's just about Tribe and turn of Ibos, that's why they are so toxic and mad about their propaganda campaigns of 2023 against Tinubu

@Sistaliano Their agitation is purely for Igbo presidency under the dark cover of good governance. 90% of Peter Obi's supporters are igbos, and 89.9% of them detested and criticized him when he was govonor. Today, he's the best thing after okpa.

To all the Yoruba-buts, now that you've been presented with an alternative Yoruba man other than the Tinubu you say you don't want, let's see whether your Ibo friends with whom you joined forces to support Obi will join you now to support Makinde. If dem join you make i bend. 😜😂

“It’s not that we cannot vote for Yoruba, just that not Tinubu.” YORUBA BUT: Okay nah, let’s vote Sowore then 🤝 THEM: No 😒 let’s vote Peter Obi. YORUBA BUT: Alright, what about Seyi Makinde? THEM: No 😤 Peter Obi. YORUBA BUT: But you said we should bring someone better than Tinubu. Makinde built schools 🏫, improved healthcare 🏥, paid salaries, and doctors didn’t go on endless strikes under him. So why not him? THEM: No! 😡 It’s Peter Obi or nothing because it’s the turn of the Igbos. YORUBA BUT: Ahhh 😭 so all this while, it was never really about “good governance”… it was about tribe? We told you long time ago that it wasn't about good governance it's about their tribe but una no believe” 😂🤦🏽‍♂️🇳🇬

Today, I met with Local Government and LCDA Chairmen, alongside APC leaders across Lagos, ahead of the party primaries. We share a strong belief that Lagos must keep moving forward with leadership that listens and delivers for the people. Our strength has always come from staying connected to the grassroots and understanding the everyday realities of Lagosians. As I always say, the journey ahead is about service, trust, and building a Lagos where every LGA and LCDA has a fair opportunity to grow and succeed.

The Yorubas are now Yorubanizing their culture & embracing their true identity. Went to Ilè Iyan at GRA Ikeja to eat, the menu was written in Yoruba only. Can't read shit but still appreciate the dedication & commitment towards keeping the language alive. Well done Yorubas

The denial of visa to The Chairman of BUA Abdul Samad Rabiu by the South African Government is an affront to Nigeria. They cannot have billions of dollars investment in our country and treat such a revered figure with rejection and contempt.Xenophobia is escalating from the streets to Governance. Its time to keep aside history and African brotherhood and deal with this matter squarely.
