It’s hilarious seeing how argentines act when they are the number one villain ‘superpower’ top dog during this World Cup People really have ZERO CLUE how lucky they have been under USA hegemony So many have attacked us, envied us, wished us the worst & we ignored / laughed it off / continued to TRANSCEND the human race. Ushered in UNPRECEDENTED times for the world. Beyond BENEVOLENT (objectively the most in all of recorded history & it’s not even remotely close) Imagine if some of these countries were carrying the mantle & how they would act. Few can handle the GREAT BURDEN

Bolivia is the new Paraguay for buying tech. Just bought a Logitech MK295 in Santa Cruz for 350 Bolivianos. At the current official rate of 10.5 Bolivianos per dollar, that's $33.33. On Amazon with US sales tax, it comes out to $34.67. Bolivia cheaper. For as long as anyone can remember, the rule in South America was: don’t buy tech locally. Brazil tech is double US prices. Argentina is even worse. Chile, Peru, Uruguay: 15-50% more. Everyone went to Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, or waited until they were back in the USA/EU to shop. Bolivia was firmly on the “don’t buy here” list for a long time. But the new government cut import taxes on electronics to 0% in January 2026. The change is set through the end of the year, and now the full effect is finally showing up in store prices. The new government also just instituted a floating exchange rate. This means imports no longer have to work around a blue dollar rate. Santa Cruz street prices have hit US parity. That includes iPhones and MacBooks. Going for about 5% over US prices, maximum. Bolivia is now the second country in South America where foreigners can buy tech without paying extra. And the only country where you don’t need to go to a border town to do it. It’ll probably become permanent. In less than a year, Bolivia went from “don’t buy here” to now matching US prices.

Swiss 🇨🇭 supermarket quality is so subpar compared to what I get ordering from Wolt in Warsaw 🇵🇱 It’s not even close. My most likely option at the moment for life in Switzerland (which I’m still choosing as my likely long-term base) is Lugano. And if/when I move there first thing I’ll do is build up a grocery/sourcing routine that is as independent from coop/Migros as possible, except for items that are good there (few: maybe milk, beef and a few other things). Smaller shops and markets with good produce, maybe from Italy, or directly shopping in Italy (Varese/Milan etc).

@bold_perception You need to order/buy from the right places not biedronka. Quality is top tier when ordering from good spots, for like 80-90% of items

@bold_perception Dude is a pure grifter. Invests 0 money into basic research and everything into attention maxing slop that he then tries to resell at a huge markup. Also, he wanted to meet up with Epstein. Not a fan. Don’t wish him ill health though.

The world wants me to die. My incurable disease diagnosis became global news. It was omnipresent on social media and 1,900 articles were written in a matter of days. Many were saddened. However, joy dominated the commentary. People pointed to schadenfreude, the pleasure of another's failure. Yes, there’s that. There is a special place in people’s hearts that loves to see others fail, especially when that person’s presence threatens their own psychological stability in some way or helps them feel better about themselves. But, if you look over the social media commentary about me, you’ll see that pattern: “he deserved it.” I deserved it because I challenged death. The crowd was running a deeply rooted psychological script that represents the oldest, most deeply embedded stories of human culture. This was the first story ever written down, 4,000 years ago. Gilgamesh sought eternal life after losing someone he loved, only to have the plant of youth stolen by a serpent as he bathed. Leaving him to accept his mortality. Asclepius became so skilled at rejuvenation that he raised the dead. As punishment, Zeus struck him down with a thunderbolt to enforce life and death authority. This is the story of Jesus. Pontius Pilate offered a choice between a thief and the immortalist, and the crowd demanded the execution. People need this story conclusion to keep themselves sane. The challenger must lose and the loss must appear deserved. It’s a shield of self preservation. For if death is inevitable, their existence and that of their loved ones is justified and unavoidable. If death is not inevitable, nothing about their reality is safe. I occupy the same philosophical and archetypal position as Gilgamesh, Asclepius and Jesus. This statement will draw outrage and accusations of blasphemy, hubris and narcissism. Nevertheless, it’s the pattern that has repeated itself for thousands of years. Death has been the omnipresent concern of the human race. It encapsulates our greatest fears, joy and curiosities. The discourse around it changes over time; however, the fundamentals remain unchanged. What’s different about this moment, that is unlike any other moment, is that physical death may no longer be inevitable. What if I didn’t deserve it? And what if I am your ally, and not a threat?

Glimpses of Culture 🏛️

I was pretty shocked by the responses to this tweet. What I heard over and over was that this place was bombed during the war, so it's understandable why these beautiful buildings were replaced with boring, ugly concrete blocks. It was a war-ravaged nation, and they needed to build housing quickly. I understood the logic, of course, but the post is talking about a specific area in Belgium. This spot was damaged during the war, but most of the change here was not due to wartime damage,it came from post-war redevelopment in the 1950s to 1970s and decision makers had agency. The need to build housing quickly for displaced people in this situation never really made sense to me, we are talking about prime beachfront real estate, after all does this seem like a place to rapidly build up cheap housing for people? What bothered me so much about the responses was that those who justified the erasure of these beautiful places seemed to apply that reasoning to any situation. It was basically a blanket stamp of approval for similar cases because they had heard one explanation somewhere that supposedly justifies the permanent loss of beautiful buildings due to a war that ended 80 years ago. I would like to think we can hold ourselves to higher standards and find ways to preserve our culture, architecture, and history rather than selling them out to a passing fad or to developers trying to maximize the price per square foot. Budapest did it, Warsaw did it, Dresden did it. It is possible.
