@dharmalabco Oof…I’m not sure Dan has ever navigated county social services with hold times in excess of 2 hours. That’s next level acceptance. 😉 But yes always an opportunity to become more skillful because it just is.

Dan Goleman made a point about the stress of phone trees that sounds trivial but isn't. "I get angry on hold. Telephone trees make me angry. But what those are are opportunities to rehearse." Every moment of minor frustration in daily life is a low-stakes chance to practice working skillfully with difficult emotions before you encounter them somewhere that actually matters. @richiejdavidson @CortlandJDahl @dharmalabco

1st station: "Every person in authority will have to answer to God for the way they exercise their power." Jesus says, "whatever you do to another human being, especially to the small & vulnerable, you do unto me. And it is to me that you will one day give an account."

Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your story - it’s so brave. It took me until my early 40’s to realize how much trauma had shaped my life. Therapy can be life changing for those who can afford it. I dream of a world where everyone - particularly the most vulnerable - have access to the support, love, and tools they need to heal.

Looking back, I realize we didn’t just survive that day—we carried it with us. My biggest regret isn't what happened; it’s that we didn't talk to anyone about it afterwards. Trauma doesn't care how old you are. It stays in the shadows until you bring it into the light. Therapy isn't just for 'problems'; it’s for healing the things you didn't even know were broken. #MentalHealth #Healing #whatnowpodcast

My daughter just got her masters in social work and she’s aware that might never have the financial ROI that other degrees have. There’s another ROI and that’s doing what feeds your soul while being of service. People shouldn’t have to make that choice.
The Washington Post@washingtonpost

Graduate degrees in medicine, law and pharmacy generally have the highest return on investment, a report found. By contrast, advanced degrees in social work and psychology generally do not pay off financially. wapo.st/4s33F04

@BridgetPhetasy Love this. GenX mom here. It’s important for us to stand in the truth of the wisdom we’ve acquired through experience. And to question whatever the f*ck it means to peak. It’s really about the journey of just being human and being fully present to this human experiences.

People think the goal with anger is to get rid of it. The Dalai Lama taught Dan Goleman differently: "To be skillful with anger, you need to put aside the hostility, the us and them, and preserve the focus it gives you, the motivation it gives you, the persistence it gives you." @richiejdavidson @CortlandJDahl @dharmalabco

@bodycoachderek @sciencegirl Yes! Ghosts, the devil/evil/supernatural, tornados, Soviets (Cold War and all with fallout drills - like desks were going to save us), Bermuda Triangle…probably more. Oh, and the fear of overpopulation. Probably more.

Butterfly populations across the U.S. are in alarming decline, according to a 2025 Science study, with total abundance falling by 22% in just 20 years. Such widespread and worrisome losses portend broader environmental threats and emphasize the urgent need for conservation action. scim.ag/3FaRKdU #ScienceMagArchives
