@bolimcal If you need to, just scrub it in the shower. Diy debridement. And please get some antibacterial ointment because this WILL get infected, but if you can stop it at home all the better

@bolimcal That was my reason for starting burning; about 8 months difference

lowkey instead of walking around with obvious sh scars forever i could just burn my entire forearm so that it’s less obvious that it was sh and could have been a terrible accident instead

sh burns on second thought this is probably deep partial thickness ; it was completely pale and numb when i did it so i thought it was full thickness but there’s viable tissue underneath all that slough 😮‍💨 arm looks xtra fat because its still super swollen dont mention it

@5weetbl4des yeah it was just open flame from a lighter ; i was drunk when i did it and i have an obscenely high pain tolerance when drunk so it didnt really hurt much ; the past 4 days its felt fine (aside from pretty severe swelling), just numb, but its starting to really hurt today

@bolimcal can i ask if you used a lighter? ive seen burns from sh but not as severe as that and i was wondering how much it hurt, how it feels now etc etc

@didntdigest could be a few things! 1. collagen can look a little yellow in certain light 2. scar tissue is thin + avascular so can be a lil transluscent ergo the fat underneath shines through a bit in some spots 3. avascular so if u have yellow undertones theres no red to counteract that

does anyone else have this yellowish discolouration on their deeper scars

it migjt not look very dry but thats bc ive been doing a good job 😇😇 vaseline + paraffin gauze + wrapping my GOATS! it looked and felt like crispy baked chicken skin before

its been 5 days and just now started hurting btw (+1 healing -2 sanity) . i usually cut instead of burning so it’s been a new experience trying to self heal a very Dry wound rather than the complete opposite Super Wet wounds as my cuts always are

@mikeyyshhh_ after i posted this i was thinking that just lettng the scars heal a bit more and getting some tattoos woukd achieve the same result and also look less gross ijbol Thats the betteroption id say

literally every time i decide not to b/p on any given day i end up bothering the grocery delivery people by ordering a few minutes before closing time, spending like €10 more because its more expensive, and having eaten more cals in the end because i thought i wasnt gona b/p😭😭

@Asteriasdying here but genuinely dont even try it lol i did it once and i couldnt do it for more than a second bc it hurt so bad and the aftercare sucked because its a Very wet and Large wound and the scar is just a big red area like i got slapped😭
