Unreal comeback from VCU. Ultimately kinda thought going into the game that VCU's guards were just better than UNC's guards. Took a half and took Martelli identifying the Hill/Stevenson matchup as one that could be exploited in switches, but that ended up bearing out.
@UNC_Humor Refusal to run has probably sunk the last 2 seasons. I know why they did it last year ( RJ wasn't good with all that movement) but no excuse this season.
Every Carolina group chat saw them taking their foot off the pedal when they were up big and knew what was coming.
How many times are we going to keep doing this?
@Will_Rucker3_AD Idk why they refuse to run. They don't have a real PG but many guys who can handle and rather than pass up the floor they force it to Dixon and walk it up. Everyone but Bogavacs can run a break.
Hubert Davis is not a good basketball coach if you know what you’re watching it is painfully obvious. UNC is incredibly predictable and repetitive in what they do. They do not adjust ever while other teams do. They consistently lose games they should win due to a coaching deficit
@MeeksKnowsBall I honestly think they were trying to officiate the game to help VCU get back into it (UNC stalling helped) but they didn't really want to decide the game beside just not calling obvious fouls.
How in the world is this not Seth Trimble’s 5th foul…
They gave this to Stevenson. Trimble was even going back to the bench because he thought he was out of the game
The VCU Rams erased a 19-point deficit to tie the game with 11 seconds left against a Caleb Wilson-less North Carolina Tar Heels
This was the NOT called a foul on VCU. Thoughts?
@CollegeHoopsTIk The refs basically decided to swallow the whistle the final 10 min. They fell for a couple flops but other than that. UNC's decision to slow it down allowed VCU to ramp up the physical play. They out fought UNC.
Jonathan Powell is the only #UNC sub that played in the entire second half.
No coincidence this starting five looked gassed down the stretch. Zero rotation.
@CBBcontent They can't handle physical play when refs are unwilling to call fouls. The decision to slow it down allowed VCU a chance to ramp up the physical defense.
@LeeFouler Would have said Arizona (best team). Michigan has the highest ceiling but after what I just saw I say Duke. It seems like the champ often plays a terrible game early on.
