I’ve seen this film before — A perfectly fun, over-the-top blockbuster. Jason Statham delivers, and Ben Wheatley keeps it fast and entertaining. Pure escapist thrills.

First-time watch — A funny, heartfelt surprise with a fresh idea at its core. Brendan Fraser brings warmth and sincerity, making the emotional beats land. A unique, feel-good gem that quietly sticks with you.

First-time watch — A surreal, offbeat sci-fi comedy that mostly lands. Sam Rockwell steals every scene with his energy and charm, even if things run a little long.

I’ve seen this film before — Has a decent structure but never delivers. Even with Jason Statham and Wesley Snipes, the twists fall flat and the tension is weak.

Taika Waititi brings a playful energy that let Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston lean fully into the humour, while Cate Blanchett adds a strong, stylish villain presence. A fun, colourful ride with plenty of laughs.

I’ve seen this film before — #ThorRagnarok is a wildly entertaining shift in tone, packed with vibrant, eye-popping visuals and a sharp comedic edge.

Stylish in places, yet lacking a real edge, it’s an easy watch that doesn’t leave much of a mark.

I’ve seen this film before — A slick but ultimately routine action outing, War delivers a few solid fight scenes and the expected intensity from Jet Li and Jason Statham, but it rarely rises above familiar genre beats.

I’ve seen this film before — #TheOtherGuys is a consistently funny comedy that had me laughing throughout. Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg make a great odd-couple pairing, with sharp jokes and plenty of ridiculous moments landing well.

First-time watch — #Zootopia2 is a fun, lively adventure with clever humour and great voice work, making it a perfect pick for family movie night.

I’ve seen this film before — #48Hrs. is a solid buddy-cop movie that helped define the genre. Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy have great chemistry, with Murphy’s humour really standing out. Directed by Walter Hill, it’s rough but entertaining, and Annette O’Toole adds a nice touch.

I’ve seen this film before — #ScaryMovie2 is laugh-out-loud funny, with gags coming fast and often. Ridiculous, silly, and exactly what you want from this kind of parody.

I’ve seen this film before — #ScaryMovie is packed with laughs from start to finish. The gags come fast and the cast is terrific, with Anna Faris leading the chaos brilliantly.

I’ve seen this film before — #TheMeg delivers big shark thrills and Jason Statham-style action. Silly at times, but plenty of fun.

First-time watch — As my 8-year-old pointed out, it was nice to watch something together that neither of us had seen before. #SmurfsMovie is bright and fun, but ultimately forgettable.
