Germany’s energy crisis is now partly a crisis of choice. At any point, the German government can phone the Russian government, switch on the pipeline, and reduce the skyrocketing energy costs…
But the German government, and European Commission, so trapped by their own ridiculous and bellicose rhetoric against Russia, can’t bring themselves to take this simple step out of fear of humiliation.
These are the results of refusing basic diplomacy for years, with the natural resource superpower right on their own border.

Japan is just 43 km from Russia. Russia can supply oil and gas in an hour or two! But Japan hardly buys any Russian energy.
Instead Japan buys from the Persian Gulf which is 8300 km of sailing distance. And suffering due to the Strait of Hormuz.

This morning at State House, I had the distinct pleasure of receiving a generous donation of 10 brand new, state-of-the-art ambulances equipped with the latest medical technologies including respirators, oxygen delivery systems, defibrillators and advanced patient monitoring units. These ambulances were formally handed over to the Minister of Health and Child Care for onward distribution across all Provinces to strengthen emergency response capacity and improve access to critical healthcare services. In addition, I handover 200,000 litres of diesel, which will directly support the effective deployment and sustained operation of these life-saving units. This donation has been made possible through the generosity of an astute and maverick young businessman @wicknellchivayo who has a golden heart and continues to tirelessly support various key Government programmes under Vision 2030, which is anchored on modern healthcare systems that leave “No one and No place behind”. I extend my sincere appreciation to @wicknellchivayo for this gesture, which exemplifies the critical role of the private sector in complementing Government’s efforts to deliver quality service delivery in the health sector. Such partnerships between Government and indigenous businesses reaffirm my administration’s matra that “Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo”, and I urge other businesspeople within the private sector to emulate this gesture and exemplary conduct. I think remote rural dust roads actually need this Mhofu. Those sleek Yutong Chinese big-window buses are only plying the tarred roads. This one has the agility to withstand the dust and pothole roads, and the simplicity of finding the base for the re-establishment of public transport.
