Thomas Sowell is correct. The Barbary slave trade (North African Muslim corsairs) enslaved an estimated 1–1.25 million white Europeans over several centuries — more than the roughly 388,000–450,000 Africans brought to the United States. Slavery has been a human evil across races, continents, and centuries. Acknowledging the full history doesn’t diminish anyone’s suffering — it just destroys simplistic narratives.

This man is not a CEO of a Fortune 500 company. He is commander and chief of the United States Armed forces. And the lives of those in our armed forces should be primary in decision making.
Decisions should not be signaled as being driven by the market impacts. That gives away damaging strategic plays to Iran.
And it is my belief Trump going on this business channel signals markets are what drive decisions.
