It tells us that the EFF supported Mkhwanazi long before the rest of this country was awake to it. Does this make Mkhwanazi untouchable and fallible? No. Mkhwanazi is not immune to criticism & criticising him doesn’t make one an enemy of the people. It is YOUR OPINION that criticism on Mkhwanazi is an attack, it is also your opinion that criticising Mkhwanazi means that you’re an enemy of the people, don’t label it as a fact. Mkhwanazi must be criticised when it is justifiable to do so. Mkhwanazi must be corrected when he has erred and he must be held accountable when he omits or distorts facts whether intentionally or unintentionally. You can’t pretend to stand for transparency and truth & then cry foul when transparency is demanded from Mkhwanazi himself. Mkhwanazi is supported by the EFF but that doesn’t make him a demigod incapable of error. In his initial testimony to the Ad Hoc Committee in Parliament, it was Lt General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi who told us that SAPS and Intelligence is politicised and factionalised, and at the centre of that is the ANC and its elective conferences. He told us this, even making examples about the ANC Polokwane Conference in 2007 and recruitment of Comrades into SAPS ranks - messing up our law enforcement. On the EFF Podcast Comrades Ronnie Kasrils and Mbazima Shilowa said the same thing. A person just wakes up incapable of controlling his feelings of being a fan, and accuses the media and politicians of saying SAPS is factional to achieve some nefarious end, when Mkhwanazi is the one who said it. Spare me this sanctimonious and self-righteous nonsense. We back the law and natural justice, not a incoherent speculation and an individual.
