Some authors I'm especially excited to explore are Ursula K. Le Guin, Patricia A. McKillip, Lois McMaster Bujold, Bernard Cornwell, Carol Berg, Juliet Marillier, and Guy Gavriel Kay - writers whose work embodies the kind of storytelling I connect with most (🤞 from what I hear)

So it's high time to reform my TBR. Not because "popcorn fantasy" is bad, it absolutely has its place but because I want to be more intentional about reading what genuinely resonates with me. Stories that sit quietly, ask difficult questions, and reward attention. +

I think I've reached a point in my reading journey where I truly understand my taste. Looking back at my favorite books the patterns are clear: depth, patience, myth, and consequence. I love stories that take their time, trust the reader, and linger long after I've finished them+
