I defended my dissertation yesterday. It feels so surreal that I am now Dr. Misty Schattle. I am so thankful for all of the amazing educators that have helped me and friends and family that have pushed me along the way. I cannot say thank you enough!

Our beloved Elizabeth Meeker, Program Director for Digital Lib. Services, left our world Monday. She was part of Aldine ISD for 32 years, teaching and working in several of our libraries before becoming a dept. leader. Her Aldine Library family loves her dearly and will miss her.

Learned about the R.A.I.N. method and how it can be applied when you are experiencing challenges. I didn’t want to go lift this morning. I recognized my feelings, paused and acknowledged the feelings, investigated the why, then naturally the feelings passed. #RunWithSchattle
