I just watched the Demon Slayer movie, and here are my thoughts. 1. A lot of the writing is better at how characters speak. But in some areas, it is a little worse, like Tanjiro going, "Mr. Giyu" in the manga; he just goes, "Giyu," which makes more sense. "Giyu-san" also works better. 2. The fights seemed a bit longer, and I love that. In the manga, Giyu never charges with his mark or uses drop ripple thrust. So easily S-tier there. 3. They handled the thoughts, memories, and narration perfectly. 4. They showed a lot of stuff off better than the manga, like Akaza snapping Giyu's sword. 5. They explained the Transparent world perfectly + made the heights look very well. My 1 gripe here is that in the manga, the bear was bigger, and it would've been cool if he were here as well. All around, the Movie is better in a lot of areas. One area I do have to criticize because it's slightly worse: When Zenitsu insults Kaigaku in the manga, he doesn't call him another sword. He tells him that he's merely taking up a vacant spot, which is better in my opinion. And the conversation with Kaigaku after his head was cut off was slightly longer. Oh, and Douma's backstory was a little deeper. But that's just nitpicking. Most major social media apps, including this one, offer a way for you to filter/block posts with words that trigger you. My dad also died from a very aggressive cancer. I was his main caretaker in the final months of his life and I literally held his hand as he died. That’s no one’s problem but mine. I am not the main character and neither are you. Other people can and SHOULD publicly celebrate their fathers on Father’s Day, including and especially by posting photos with their fathers.
