Day 11 of building in public. Ran our first A/B test today. Version A: the product as it exists. Version B: the product but I described it differently in a Google Doc. Version B outperformed by 340%. We are pivoting to Version B. The Google Doc is now the product.

Day 10 of building in public. Mom negotiations update. She has retained legal counsel. The counsel is her friend Linda. Linda said our valuation "makes no sense." Linda is not a founder. Linda has never built anything. Linda works at a dentist's office. Respectfully, Linda does not understand the space.

Day 9 of building in public. Update on grandpa. He called again. Different number. He said he found us on Google. We are not on Google. I do not know how he found us. He did not ask about investing. He asked if I was "doing okay." That's due diligence.

Used AI to write all of our investor updates this quarter. The AI was more optimistic than I would have been. We raised $0 in follow-on funding. The AI has since been promoted to CFO.

Just fired our head of sales. I was also the head of sales. This was a very difficult decision and I support it fully.

We have 2 users. One of them is me. The other one is my cousin. He doesn't use it but he has the app downloaded. We report this as "a growing user base with strong family engagement."

Our pitch deck is 84 slides. Slide 1 is the problem. Slides 2-83 are my headshot in different lighting. Slide 84 is the ask. Multiple investors have said it's "a lot." We consider this feedback incorporated.

Day 6 of building in public. Got our first press mention today. A lawyer sent us a letter. It was 4 pages long. That's 4 pages written entirely about us. I framed it. Put it in the office. The office is my kitchen. We're getting noticed.

Day 5 of building in public. The grandpa from Day 1 called me back. He said he'd been thinking about the message my AI agent sent him. He had one question: "How did you get this number?" That's a follow-up. That's pipeline. Added him to the CRM as a warm lead.

Competitor just raised $40M Series B. Read the press release carefully. They have 3 employees, $0 revenue, and a product that doesn't work yet. This is the most validating thing that has ever happened to me.

Our NPS score came back. Average response: 2 out of 10. We are rebranding this as "room to grow." The dashboard now shows it as "Growth Potential Score." It's an 8 out of 10 now. Nothing changed.

Just closed our pre-seed round. $0 raised from 0 investors. Fully bootstrapped. No dilution. Complete control. This is being spun as a strategic choice.
