@KazTheStag@MonsterMalamute@WyattPuppers Breed standards include cropping and docking since the standard is to preserve the breed, usually. If a dog isn’t being shown, those procedures aren’t necessary, but can still be done. By an ethical vet of course.

Cropping/docking is also less invasive than spaying/neutering and many people get that procedure done when pups are young too! All comes down to doing what owners and professionals think is best for the dog.
