@rampulla_andrew Find other work for her. Cross train and make her useful during the slow time. Do you really need to save a few grand and make her a mini enemy or make her appreciate the opportunity and you get more out of her.

The original offer letter we sent to my office manager said the season extended through January 15.
Although, there is just about nothing left for her to do and I can very easily take over her role with <1hr/day.
I hate burning $1,000/week on unneeded payroll, but also don't want to put her in a bad spot.

I suspect that Trump views Mamdani as less of a “foe” or a “foil” and more as a worthy fellow cast member on the stage of American political drama. Combined with his personal and financial connections to New York City I think we are in store for treatment that is distinct and more nuanced than what Trump has done to other big cities.
