@gardenmom29 Done it both ways, but best results in fall. They keep better in the ground until then. Year I didn't had to move under bed.

@gardenmom29 I let mine cure for about a week, outside, off ground, out of rain, and use mesh onion or citrus bags. last all winter.

@gardenmom29 Moister not better ex. rot in bags.. A/C till fall. Cellars dry out in fall/winter. Cold condences air moisture to floor.

@gardenmom29 If going into a cellar, best not to dig until September...Next best thing I have done is stored them under my bed until fall.
