@matty_hansolo @sueroberts7 So under utilise the resources we have whilst we build more to an ever expanding sprawl? sounds counterintuitive to me. It isn’t taking someone’s dream, it’s realising they are currently penalised under the existing system

Why take away someone’s dream? They have likely worked their life to obtain the “Aussie dream” of home ownership. If you had worked your whole life, bought yourself your home. You are entitled to stay in it. A lot of these same retirees have family’s, grandchildren and enjoy having their family visit. These properties don’t need incentives many of them are bought before pricing was crazy. Why throw more tax payer money at a problem that is fixed by correcting the over-demand and lacking supply. If they want to increase supply the taxpayer investment should be into apprentices in building related trades.

Is Peter Dutton seriously saying that $14 a week savings in petrol is going make a difference for a single mum at risk of homelessness?? This guy is just so out of touch 😏 #LeadersDebate #auspol #Election2025

@matty_hansolo @sueroberts7 Your plan has a long term view which is great however incentivising retirees out of the existing homes that are surplus to their needs would free up available stock far quicker. Example: in Bendigo almost 15% of population live alone yet the average house size in 3 bedrooms.

Both these guys are all smoke and mirrors. Offering sugar sweeteners to kick the problem down the road. The biggest thing either party could actually do to assist the mum at risk of homelessness is stop immigration until housing supply meets demand. This will lower housing prices, decrease rent, lower costs of taxpayer funded services and bring about cost of living decreases. All of the “policy’s” these guys have announced do nothing to curtail housing costs in fact they will lead to more pressure on supply and in turn increase costs. But then when they all have property portfolios then it’s in an interest to ensure exactly this. Lowering fuel prices by reducing excise permanently may have an economic bennefit long term but none of the transport companies will lower there prices for a six month sugar sweetener. Labours housing policy I’m still looking at where I can buy 100k land let alone supposedly have a home for 100k with land? It just doesn’t add up. They are both spin doctors that can’t answer a question directly without pork barrelling.

It is time to begin preparations for deorbiting the @Space_Station. It has served its purpose. There is very little incremental utility. Let’s go to Mars.

@elonmusk All the people insisting that Putin must hold elections ignore the simple fact that he would still win a free and fair vote in Russia—maybe not by the same margins, but he’d win—whereas in Ukraine, no one knows what the outcome would be.

Wow this is shady. Elon Musk is funding a PAC that’s running two ads against Kamala Harris with messages that directly contradict each other. The opposing messages are microtargeted to specific groups of voters, so each see one ad, but neither see both.

The problem with “Great Replacement Theory” is that it fails to address the foundational issue of low birth rates. Record low birth rates are leading to population collapse in Europe and even faster population collapse in most of Asia. Immigration is low in Asia, so there is no “replacement” going on, the countries are simply shrinking away. If this doesn’t turn around, then any countries on Earth with low birth rates will become empty of people and fall into ruin, like the remains we see of the many long dead civilizations.
Eva Vlaardingerbroek@EvaVlaar

Here it is! The full speech I gave at #CPACHungary that the establishment is losing its absolute mind about. I spoke the forbidden truth: The Great Replacement is no longer a theory - it’s reality. White Europeans are being replaced in their own countries at an ever accelerating rate and it will mean the end of our civilization if we don’t turn things around.

If you're naked on the front porch and the neighbors can't see you, it's rural. If you're naked on the front porch and the neighbors call the cops, it's suburban. We're now up to 2,020 people with unfettered, 24/7 access to Parliament House. We have no idea who these people are. This is a huge transparency fail that doesn't live up to community standards. #SenateEstimates
