The primary source for the "dog rape" claim was a random person name Shaiel Ben Ephraim, who later admitted he could not prove it on video. Did anyone speak with Shaiel and vet his analysis? Did anyone speak with dog trainers and specialists? Did the medical journals related to dog/human sexual interaction specifically discuss instances where dogs on command anally penetrated humans against their will (the answer is no)? Did anyone check closely on the research and the researchers to truly confirm if this was possible anatomically? Did anyone research police dog training centers in Israel and speak to anyone there about this specific allegation? This extraordinary claim requires extraordinary evidence and research into dog training. It is clear the evidence clearly fell far short here. Claims this happened in Chile or elsewhere do not discuss trained anal penetration by command. This is why people are not believing this, because it appears fantastical, and when one clicks to check the evidence it's an X post by Shaiel. Such an incredible claim needs corroboration on multiple levels. If true, if it really passes all the fact checking of a news item in the NYT, this should be a major news research piece in the news section, not a few lines in an opinion piece with scant sourcing and evidence.
