He’s five, mostly non verbal, strong as an ox, freakishly athletic, might be able to hack your computer, and the funniest, purest little soul we know. It’s an isolating experience from the start. I was on the other side of the world playing baseball in Korea when my wife got Jimmy’s diagnosis. She was scared — but she dove right in, learning everything she could to help our boy. It’s been a long road. Lately some new treatments show promise for improving communication. Maybe one day my wife can share more. We have tons of hope Please don’t say “I’m sorry” or “I don’t know how you do it.” We’re not sorry. We’re lucky. @HayleyMilon
