City are officiated differently. They are not good or world class. They are products of preferential treatment.

You think this was the first time? Think again. Any other player sees red. But if you play for Manchester City, it’s just “play on.”

I see another former player who "didnt want to leave" coming out with absolute revisionism. Agent told the club he wanted £300k plus bonuses a week, or he wouldnt sign. So club said no, and withdrew the offer. But yeah, "i always wanted to stay, and couldnt undetstand why they withdrew the offer" Cup winner maybe, but also went missing in huge ammount of games and never deserving of anywhere close to what he wanted with his injury record (circumstances)

There were found to be more VAR errors in the Premier League in the recent review. In gameweek 35 there were three VAR errors and one on-field error that didn't meet the VAR threshold.

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝟭𝟭𝟱 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁? I get asked this question a lot. Christian Smith of the Lawyer Mag wrote a brilliant article covering the different possibilities last month. Well worth a read (quoted below). There is an additional hypothesis I will outline though… The way the disciplinary hearing works (per the rules) is this: 1., An Independent Panel hears the evidence - this ended Nov/Dec 2024 for the Man City case 2., The Panel takes time to deliberate, come to a decision on “liability” (guilt) and write it up 3., This written decision on “liability” is then shared with the parties 4., There is another hearing where parties argue mitigating and aggravating circumstances to try and influence the degree of sanctions awarded 5., The Panel takes time to deliberate, come to a decision on sanctions, and write it up 6., The final decision with sanctions awarded is issued to parties and published shortly after Everyone assumes that at stage 3, where guilt is determined, the decision will be published or leaked. But it never has in any prior disciplinary proceeding. My understanding is the decision on liability is always very close hold to avoid leaks. And there is some reason to think we might already be at stage 3. The settlement agreement with Chelsea sat on Richard Masters desk for nearly 3 months before he signed it, after it was ratified by Panel members. In all prior instances, he has signed it within 3 days. Why did it take so long? Well, the Chelsea settlement effectively sets a horrible precedent that subversion of the rules without a PSR implication does not warrant major sanctions like points deductions or relegation. This would be an incredibly dangerous precedent to set if you didn’t know the Man City Panel’s decision on PSR charges first. So one could conclude that Masters was waiting for the Man City decision, to confirm they had been found liable of breaching PSR, before committing to the Chelsea settlement and ensuring that precedent (*why he would even want to set such a precedent is another matter that I have covered previously). If so, that could mean the Man City process picked up from late February / early March and we might soon get to (or have already had) stage 4 (at which point the process should wrap up within a matter of weeks). And that may be the case. There could be an outcome very soon. However, if I were Man City, I would try and delay further. One way they could do that is to launch an appeal at stage 3. Now, this would be unconventional since every other appeal has been made after stage 6. But the rules lack specificity here and I see no clear reason as to why they could not. Now, the PL and the Panel could insist the current process continues whilst an appeal process on liability runs concurrently but again, if I were Man City, I’d launch a Section X arbitration to stop this and create further delay. The rules say nothing about whether or not Section W processes can continue during a concurrent appeal on liability - making it a matter for arguments. This is all conjecture of course… but it’s what I would do. And I do believe 18 months post hearing for a decision on liability to arrive is both absurd and unlikely. It’s dereliction of duty territory. Hopefully we get clarity soon.
Christian Smith@TheLawyerCSmith

In what must be a growing nightmare for the whole PL, we still don't know the 115 result–and there's now the very awkward possibility of Man City being crowned champs at the same time as it's found guilty of serious rule breaches. So what COULD be going on?thelawyer.com/where-is-the-m…

🔴⚪ The nerve. The AUDACITY. Sir, you are right. Referees have cost teams big moments. You are absolutely correct. But since you want to open this conversation — let's open it properly. You didn't say anything when Abdukhodir Khusanov fouled Kai Havertz clean through on goal. DOGSO. Red card AND penalty by the letter of the law. Mikel Arteta said it. Keith Hackett — an ex-referee — said it. The panel said City were fortunate. The referee said nothing. You didn't say anything when Rodri should have walked against Tottenham. Second yellow. Gone. The KMI panel confirmed it after the game. He stayed on. City stayed in the game. You didn't say anything when Rúben Dias should have been sent off against Nottingham Forest. Again — second yellow, confirmed by the independent panel. Again — he stayed on. Again — City benefited. You didn't say anything when Matheus Nunes fouled Kevin Schade TWICE inside and around the box against Brentford. One of them denied a goalscoring chance. Nothing. Not a whistle. You didn't say anything when Bernardo Silva hit a Brentford player. With his hand. Nothing. You didn't say anything when Bernardo Silva grabbed Merlin Röhl's shirt in the box during a corner against Everton. Clear pull. Clear penalty. Nothing. And Marc Guehi — professional last-man foul, no red card. Same player, same pattern. Different treatment. Should I go on? Because I can go on. How many times exactly? How many confirmed, panel-verified, ex-referee-backed decisions went in Man City's favour this season alone? And THIS is the man talking about referees not doing their job? 👀 The biggest beneficiaries of a broken system, standing at a microphone, crying about a broken system. Oh — and while we're here. 115 charges. Financial Fair Play. The most serious allegations in English football history, still hanging over your club like a cloud that won't move. Pep, with the greatest respect — you don't get to claim victimhood in a conversation about integrity. Not you. Not now. Not with that history and not with Manchester City of the last three season, most especially this season. But thank you for speaking. Because the more you talk, the more I have receipts to pull out. COYG. Always. 🔴⚪

Top teams are loved and loathed. There is plenty to like about Arsenal - Saka, Rice, academy, resilience - but also plenty that annoys/angers rival fans. It's always been like this. Stand up for/to the champions. (And they've not even won it yet). #AFC 1/2

How to end the wrestle-mania scarring the Premier League? In all the fall-out to the (correct) VAR decision over the foul on Raya, some thought must now be given to stopping the free-for-all grappling at corners. Premier League and PGMO need to act on this embarrassment to the football it oversees. But how? More refereeing consistency would be a start. Operating a no-hands rule - as suggested by some - would be impossible. Contact will always happen in a crowded area. Darren Cann’s suggestion of no attackers in the six-yard box until the ball is played makes sense, as Cann’s suggestions invariably do. A working party of Cann, a former player and manager could easily advise PGMO on getting to grips with the grapplers.

3 minutes comp that directly cost us 3 league titles. The fact this is only 1% of the game changing decisions that have gone against us during Arteta’s era too is absurd.

This moment from @BBCMOTD perfectly sums up the delusion around Arsenal. Shay was DIEING about this because it means Arsenal will in the league pretending it’s about this. But credit to Danny Murphy of all people. It’s a foul. Anyone who can’t see is deluded by their hatred.
