I was the last speaker of the day, yet the energy in the room was amazing. It was such a joy to see developers engage with the activity on classifying media files (containing personal data). Thank you to everyone who stayed and participated! 🙌

I hosted a US billionaire in Lagos… and I didn’t even know it would actually happen. In 2019, Jack Dorsey tweeted he was coming to Africa — and Nigeria was on the list. By the Way, Jack Dorsey was the co-founder and CEO of X, formerly Twitter. He is currently worth $6.3 Billion. The moment I saw that tweet, I told my team: we have to host him.” No invite. No connection. Just belief. I started reaching out to anyone I knew at Twitter. Eventually, one person replied: ‘I’ll check who’s handling the trip. Days later… silence. Then suddenly, I get introduced to his Chief of Staff. And everything started moving fast. Next thing: background checks. The security team shows up in our office 2 days before for inspection. At that point, it became real.” Then boom, Jack Dorsey and his leadership team are sitting in my office in Lagos.” That one visit changed everything for us, It turned our office into a global stop for international leaders.” But here’s the craziest part… There was no special access. No guaranteed outcome. We just decided it was possible — and moved. So next time you’re doubting yourself… Try first. You don’t need permission to go for big opportunities.

How to write your Erasmus Mundus Motivation Letter: To begin with, there is no general ways to write it as program requirement and prompts differs depending on what they are looking for. However, some programs still want to know your motivation without any prompts. 1. The opening paragraph should tell the selection committee the motivation behind your application to their program. Your motivation can come from different experiences such as the environment you grew up, prevailing diseases and the impact it had your country , hands-on lab experience, energy related problems, war/crime and insecurity, political & economic instability, etc. This can form your opening paragraph. 2. The second paragraph should talk about your academic qualification. What did you study in your undergraduate degree? What classes did you took that relates closely with your chosen program and your grade if you graduate with a good GPA. 3. The third paragraph should be about your research experience. Here you need to summarise what research you have carried out. Don’t repeat what you put down in your CV. Instead, talk about what you did, how you did them and the result you obtained using the STAR (situation, task, action and result) approach. You can mention the tools/techniques you used for example in STEM related program python, R, synthesis, NMR, IR, UV molecular biology, protein and gene expression, DFT, schlenk line techniques and other tools you used during your research. 4. The fourth paragraph should be about what the program is going to give you. The curriculum is designed such that you’ve got to study in at least two different European countries. These countries offers different experience. Talk about the exposure, multicultural experience you’ll gain including opportunity to do internship in the industry etc. 5. The final paragraph should be about your career goal , future plan and conclusion.

i was too shy to tell a guy in my hostel what i do (making clothes) for almost a month cos we don’t talk. finally, last month, i decided to tell him. in my mind, i thought, 'what’s the worst that could happen, other than him telling me he’s not interested?' lol. i eventually talked to him, showed him pictures of shirts i’ve made and he said my shirts were cool and that he’d get back to me soon. guess who came to my room to buy two shirts today? 😂 there is really no reward for being shy!

I ACCIDENTALLY OPENED MY CTO'S PERSONAL NOTION WORKSPACE AND NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY HE SHIPS 5X FASTER THAN THE REST OF US. He is 48. I am 26. He manages 3 products and never works past 5 PM. I work 10 hours a day and barely clear my Jira board. In his workspace, one specific document explained everything: Most people panic when the workload scales. They work longer hours, burn out, and eventually drop the ball. High performers do not manage time. They manage boundaries. The document was a list of strict operating rules. Here are 18 systems you can steal.
