I don’t understand why people are arguing about the “weight” of a Worlds trophy compared to the rest of the year. You play well in regionals to qualify for Worlds. You play well during MSI to qualify for Worlds. Every win before worlds is to qualify for the tournament.

@tak_01_ Chovy is in contention for the “Best” argument but severely lacks the accolades to be the greatest. He also just came too late. League already decided on who its greatest player was before Chovy signed his first contract.

we really need to have genuine conversations about Chovy being the greatest League player ever soon, being this dominant for this long and whilst being the undoubted best player in the world every year is unprecedented

@AsiesTeto Erm why is this a superteam again. Duro is a ROOKIE, Ruler just back to LCK after a bad LPL season and Kiin before GEN have never touched a trophy, and this is his 2nd season at GEN. The definition of "superteam" is just bad nowadays.

Why can't teams just give players a chance to form a stronger bond instead of always changing them like puzzle pieces to make superteams ?? The formula works and T1 is the prime example of it

@MoleculeLOL As tallies on a sheet though, Worlds has always been the defining tournament in LoL and the narrative riot went with has always kept it that. I think of them like olympic medals. 5 bronze and 2 silver medals is an amazing career, but that 1 gold medal just carries so much weight.
